From a groom’s proposal to the bride’s walk to the altar, Magnolia’s historic acres are home to more wedding-related events than anywhere else in the South. The plantation and gardens are nature preserves rooted in the rich history and deep Southern culture. Today, at nearly 500 acres and with the distinction of being America’s oldest garden, Magnolia extends the same gracious hospitality to your guests as the Drayton family did when it first settled here in 1676.

Each of the four wedding venues is as unique as every wedding couple who will celebrate a union at Magnolia. An indoor tropical garden at the Conservatory invites you to enjoy natural, simple pleasures. A grand reception in the Carriage House can follow a ceremony under ancient live oaks as you pamper your guests and family with music, cocktails and food on the banks of the Ashley River.

The Veranda of the historic Plantation House will enchant the wedding party with panoramic views of the abundant gardens and the iconic Long White Bridge at the heart of this bountiful garden of romance. The Pavilion bordering a grand lawn provides a covered venue for a combined service and reception. Each of these incredible spaces is the “thing to do” for bachelor/bachelorette parties and bridal showers. Similarly, they can be considered for anniversaries, baby showers, reunions and services of rededication.
