We’re excited to invite you to a special en plein air workshop in partnership with Alia Kroos of the Charleston Artist Guild! This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from an accomplished artist as she shares her process from start to finish in a beautiful outdoor setting. Alia will demonstrate each stage of her plein air painting process, walking you through thumbnails and sketching, blocking in, and refining, while explaining her tips and tricks along the way. After each demonstration, you’ll put brush to canvas and apply what you’ve learned, with personalized guidance and critiques from Alia. About Alia

Alia is a multidisciplinary artist working in oil, watercolor, and pastels, creating landscapes, portraits, and abstract compositions that reflect a life shaped by travel, culture, and connection. Having lived overseas as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa, and traveled extensively, her work is deeply informed by the people, places, and stories she’s encountered along the way. Through Alia’s paintings, she aims to capture fleeting moments when light, color, and atmosphere come together in a way that feels almost sacred. View Alia’s work at the McClellanville Arts Council, Charleston Artist Guild Gallery or https://alia.pixels.com.
