Wed

May 13

2026-05-13 2026-05-13 Speaker Series at Magnolia – April Punsalan

We are so excited to welcome April Punsalan for our next Speaker Series.  For her presentation, Punsalan will introduce some of the most useful and medicinal plants found along the Carolina coast, including wax myrtle, yaupon, juniper, blanketflower, and more. Guests will learn how to recognize these coastal herbs and gain insight into the importance of ethical foraging and building a deeper connection with the surrounding ecosystem.

Punsalan’s Foraging Wild Herbs: 30 Healing Plants of the Coastal Carolinas is a hands-on guide for anyone seeking to connect with the wild herbs growing around them. Grounded in botanical science and traditional herbalism, this book teaches readers to confidently identify, ethically harvest, and use thirty healing plants.

Foraging Wild Herbs: 30 Healing Plants of the Coastal Carolinas will be available for sale at the event.
