Opening on Nov. 15, 2019, the "Lights of Magnolia: Reflections of a Cultural Exchange,” will be a four-month-long, nighttime arts and entertainment celebration. Destined to become a major attraction on the Ashley River, this first-ever compilation of the ancient fine art of lantern building is a partnership with the Zigong Lantern Group, China’s largest manufacturer of these lighted, large-scale silk constructions. Zigong creates elaborate scenes of Chinese culture, childhood fantasies, colorful floral ecology and lions, tigers and panda bears! Installed over nine acres at Magnolia’s gardens, this is the first time that this historic park and nature preserve will open in the evenings with a spectacular “thing to do!”
