Hanahan
Hanahan, growing at a record pace with a population quickly approaching 20,000, is located at the very south end of Berkeley County. Its city limits on the west and south sides are contiguous with the county line between Berkeley and Charleston counties. Hanahan is bordered on the west and south by North Charleston and to the east and north by Goose Creek.
With tidal water directly available to a number of residents, Hanahan prides itself on fishing and water sports. The city has direct access to the Cooper River and the Charleston Harbor. The Goose Creek Reservoir is located in the middle of Hanahan. Its respected school system, friendly residents and convenient location has attracted families at an astonishing pace over the last decade.
