RiverDogs return to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to open a six-game series against the Hill City Howlers, One of Two Remaining Homestands

Charleston, S.C. – The Charleston RiverDogs return to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to open a six-game series against the Hill City Howlers, the Single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, from August 18-23, the penultimate homestand of the season. 

Moreover, with a postseason berth already secured, the RiverDogs will use the coming weeks to continue building momentum and preparing for the 2026 playoffs. Thanks to their first-half division title, the RiverDogs are guaranteed to host Game 2, and, if necessary, Game 3, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on September 10 and 11.  

With special giveaways, unique experiences, and something for fans of all ages, there's plenty to look forward to at the Joe this week. A full homestand itinerary is listed below.

Tuesday, August 18, 7:05 p.m. – Dog Day Tuesday, presented by Twisted Tea and Elanco; RiverCorgi Day T-shirt Giveaway 

 Kick off the week with another Dog Day, where pups of all shapes, sizes, and breeds are invited to join the fun! This time, we're celebrating Corgis, so bring your loyal companion and join fellow fans for a tail-wagging night at the ballpark. Be sure to arrive early, as the first 500 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive RiverCorgi-themed T-shirt. Plus, your furry friends can compete all season long in our in-game contests for a chance to be crowned the Goodest Boy or Girl of the Year, with the championship taking place during the final Tuesday home game. To register your Corgi for the pre-game outfield race, fill out a form here. It's also another week of Sysco's Behind the Plate Tuesdays, recognizing the hardworking members of the food and beverage industry. 

Wednesday, August 19, 7:05pm – Wicked Weed Wiener Wednesday, with 2-for-50-cent Hot Dogs, presented by SC250; Game of Give, presented by REV 

Celebrate America's 250th birthday with an unforgettable throwback deal: two hot dogs for just 50 cents, presented by SC250. As part of Niceness Week, the RiverDogs are also celebrating the club's commitment to giving back and honoring the incredible impact volunteers have on our community during the Game of Give, presented by REV. Join us as we recognize those who make a difference and inspire others to lend a helping hand, welcoming many of the Charleston-areas great non-profit organizations to the ballpark. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a special RiverDogs "Game of Give" T-shirt. Fans can also participate in a Mystery Giveaway for 500, featuring T-shirts, bobblehead trading cards and more! 

Thursday, August 20, 7:05pm – Thirsty Thursday, presented by Budweiser; Augtoberfest 

Calling all Bavarians, it's Augtoberfest in August! Raise a stein and get ready for a night packed with all the best Oktoberfest favorites, including beers, brats, pretzels, and all the schnitzel your heart desires. Join us for an evening full of food, fun, and festive cheer as we bring the spirit of Oktoberfest to the ballpark. Grab your friends, embrace the festive vibes, and get ready to celebrate Augtoberfest in true Bavarian style! The first 250 fans in attendance will also take home a RiverDogs koozie as the club continues to celebrate America's 250th birthday. 

Friday, August 21, 7:05 p.m. – Boeing Red Shirt Friday, Stand Up to Cancer Night, Fireworks Friday, presented by REV Federal Credit Union 

Join the RiverDogs for another Boeing Red Shirt Friday, encouraging fans to wear red in honor of the men and women who currently serve and have served in the United States Armed Forces. Charleston will take the field in its America 250 uniforms before a postgame fireworks show, presented by REV Federal Credit Union, lights up the Lowcountry sky to a soundtrack of inspirational hits.  

The RiverDogs will also proudly support Stand Up To Cancer, whose mission is to raise awareness and fund research to detect and treat cancers, with the aspiration of one day curing all patients. During the fourth inning, a Moment of Silence will honor everyone who has been affected by cancer. Fans coming through the gates will be encouraged to grab a placard and write the name of someone they would like to honor during the moment. Following the game, fans can take part in a special glow stick moment honoring everyone affected by cancer before the fireworks begin. It's a night to honor our heroes, remember those impacted by cancer, come together as a community, and stand up for a cause that affects us all. 

Saturday, August 22, 6:05 p.m. – Faith and Family Night, Picnic Blanket Giveaway presented by Charleston Southern University 

On Saturday, we're celebrating Faith and Family Night in the Holy City! We welcome fans of all denominations to come together for a meaningful evening at the ballpark filled with family, faith, and fun. Fans can enjoy a pregame prayer presented by Chris Singleton before the game, then get ready to keep the celebration going after the final out with a special postgame concert by North Palm Worship. Following the game, the field will open to all fans, inviting everyone to come down and enjoy the concert from the outfield as North Palm Worship brings an unforgettable night of worship and music to The Joe. 

Plus, the first 500 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive RiverDogs x CSU picnic blanket! Gather the family, bring your faith, and make plans to stay after the game for a special concert experience under the lights. 

Sunday, August 23, 5:05 p.m. – MUSC Health Family Sunday, Bluey Night! 

Finish the homestand with another MUSC Health Family Sunday, making it the perfect outing for fans of all ages! Families can enjoy free parking, and after the game, kids are invited onto the field to run the bases. Plus, get ready for a tail-wagging good time as Bluey visits the Joe for the first time! Enjoy a day inspired by everyone's favorite blue pup, featuring family fun, playful games, themed entertainment, and plenty of laughs for fans of all ages. Bring the whole family out for an unforgettable afternoon full of imagination, adventure, and RiverDogs baseball!

After clinching the Carolina League South first half title, the RiverDogs have secured a spot in the 2026 postseason, presented by Nucor Steel Berkeley. The best-of-three Division Series begins on Tuesday, September 8. Thanks to their first-half division title, the RiverDogs are guaranteed to host Game 2, and, if necessary, Game 3, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on September 10 and 11.

Season Ticket Holders can renew their 2026 package for 2027, to receive complimentary tickets to all home postseason games. All other fans can purchase an exclusive package that includes a ticket to all home playoff games and a guaranteed t-shirt for a limited time.
