Business Details

Saffron Cafe & Bakery has been serving Charleston locals since 1986. It was opened to provide quality baked goods for its two sister restaurants, but quickly became the favorite bakery for locals. Over the years, local favorites such as she-crab soup and shrimp & grits have become permanent fixtures on the menu, making Saffron a true fusion of food from around the globe with Lowcountry favorites.

The cafe’s recent remodel included an outdoor patio, a game court and a wood-burning oven which brought back locally missed whole-wheat pizza from a Saffron sister restaurant into the daily menu.

We are honored to have become a part of so many Charleston families’ traditions, whether dining-in or taking home a Saffron cake for a special birthday, and hope to continue with the next generation.

We also service many local restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and hotels with our delicious breads and yummy pastries and desserts.
