'9:11 A Time To Always Remember - Bond of Firefighters' Is Inspirational
Follow Up Book From Jim Serger Offers Up Heart Touching Stories From Actual Firefighters & Bond They Share

Following up on his well received 2022 book '9:11 A Time To Always Remember', Cincinnati Ohio based writer Jim Serger offers up a sophomore version carrying the same name, with the subtitle reading 'Bond Of Firefighters'.
While the first book was a collection of short stories from everyday people stirred by seeing the number 9:11, whether on a clock or scoreboard, Serger's second release is easily more personal. Solely the messenger, Serger has assembled over 60 stories from actual firefighters, all recalling how that fateful day in September 2001 affected their lives.
Among those profiled in his latest book are career firefighters, several long retired, with others just beginning their journeys. Still others are just community active men and women who serve in volunteer capacities. Some of the more poignant and heart rendering accounts come from second and third generation smoke jumpers, along with many who served in the armed forces before dedicating their lives to saving people and property from all out blazes.
Former FDNY Fire Commissioner (2010-14) Salvatore 'Sal' Cassano and current Executive Board Member with Tunnels To Towers provides an eloquent and touching foreword. Much like the police and the military, Cassano a Vietnam War veteran shares the sentiment woven from the fabric of bonding.
Whether it's the Big Apple or small town USA, Cassano's words instill the camaraderie firefighters experience in their selfless service oriented profession. His opening remarks sets the tone for Serger's book, as do the ongoing partnership with the Tunnel To Towers organization. 100 percent of the proceeds from Serger's book benefits Tunnel To Towers.
Aside from a few color photos, 'Bond Of Firefighters' is ripe with compelling black & white images from the patriots detailed in the book. Perhaps it's a somber and fitting salute, since the remains of a fire are often black & white ashes.
Although '9:11 A Time To Always Remember: 'Bond Of Firefighters' is a tragic reminder of that dark day in America's history, much like a rising phoenix, Serger's new book also provides hope and promise for those called to the firefighting profession.
If you're a true American patriot, a first responder, retired an or active military, or a historian, than Serger's latest release is a must have coffee table book. A nice blend of easy to read short stories and compelling images, the companion to his 2022 book is equally as inspirational.
