'All American Patriotism' Celebrates 250 Years of America's Greatness
In Her Most Recent Book Rachel Campos-Duffy Collects Heartfelt Stories From Fellow Fox News Patriots
Jeff Walker, Entertainment Writer
Ideally timed in conjunction with the country's big birthday salute in 2026, Fox & Friends Weekend cohost Rachel Campos-Duffy offers up her newest book 'All American Patriotism: Celebrating 250 Years of America's Greatness'. Covering 270 plus pages including a passionate foreword by Erika Kirk, Campos-Duffy's latest offering encompasses the history, spirit, and traditions reflecting how amazing it is to live and embrace freedoms under the red, white, and blue flag of the United States of America.
Laid out in four parts, 'Land I Love', Home of the Brave', 'The American Dream', and 'One Nation Under God', Campos-Duffy collects 29 stories from fellow Fox family members, presenting a constant reminder of what it's like to not only grow up in, yet be a citizen of perhaps the greatest country on God's green planet. Including her own short story, 'All American Patriotism' provides readers a glimpse of the how faith, love, allegiance, and sacrifice helped establish our country.
Among the 30 chapters are heartfelt recollections of faith from Ainsley Earhardt, Trey Gowdy, Jessica Tarlov, and Martha MacCallum. Shannon Bream shares memories of portraying Betsy Ross in a grade school production in 1976 (our country's 200th birhday), and how proud she was to don the old-timey costume. Bream further recalls during her middle school years the blended family going full Griswold, renting an RV for a family trip to Washington DC. Bream's childhood memories remain precious.
Primetime's Jesse Watters recalls treks to Maine's Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park where as a 12 year old, he and his younger sister followed their father up Beehive Loop, a strenuous 1.5 mile vertical uphill spiral known for vertical accessed primarily using iron rungs. Perhaps unaware, the open-cliff climb is usually not recommended for young children or unskilled climbers. Thank God for handholds (grip supports).
Looking back, Watters equates the fear they faced with the same uncertainty our forefathers encountered not knowing what lay ahead of them. His question to readers. 'What common thread motivates Americans to do that?'. What obstacles did Lewis & Clark face? At a time in our country when our differences attract more attention than our similarities, metaphorically Watters is thankful our predecessors installed handholds, to help America rise to the top.
Harris Faulkner admits her family's legacy is tightly knit to patriotism, guided by the 1-2-3 creed (faith, family, & country) her parents bestowed upon her growing up. Although Faulkner's parents came of age during the Civil Rights era of 1950's and 60's, they put their trust in God, pursuing two of the noblest professions America has to offer, with her father becoming an officer in the Army and her mom teaching school.
Overcomers, Faulkner's parents chose to serve in the military and the classroom, instilling a deep love of country in Harris. While that life lesson stands on its own merits, Faulkner's recollection of when she prepared and performed the 'Star Bangled Banner' for a Kansas City Chiefs game is priceless, with her confessing she holds our national anthem dear to her heart.
Charles Payne's short story carries similarities to Faulkner's. His dad served in the Army, inspiring a commitment to country to a young Charles. And although his parents divorced and his mother faced hard times, she appreciated blessings in life, and continually bestowed on others even when she had very little. Payne acknowledges his ascension in the financial world came from lessons learned, family values, and a good bit of unbridled moxie.
He draws a nice comparison of America's growth over a century (mid 19th to 20th) due to the country's charitable aspect, wondering how America rose to prominence, far exceeding countries that have been around much longer than we've existed. It is that same mindset that has driven Payne during his career, thus fueling his benevolent nature. As America is about to celebrate its 250th birthday, Payne adds, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now".
Another two dozen plus stories collected in Campos-Duffy's new book parallel the same sentiment. 'Outnumbered' co-host Emily Compagno looks back on her family's determination to achieve the American dream, beginning with her great grandfather's migration from Italy to San Francisco. Along the way he triumphed over adversity, not allowing the great earthquake of 1906 to deter his vision.
Sean Hannity does an equally nice job of describing in detail the meaning of the phrase 'we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights' from the 'Declaration of Independence'. Much like Compagno, Hannity opens up about his own family tree, with grandparents coming to the land of opportunity from Ireland in the early 20th century, and his parents struggle to convey to him and his three sisters the American dream moving forward.
Rachel's own addition to the book captures the same emotion. Although her parents were natives of Mexico and Spain respectively, their admiration for America combined with an unparalleled work ethic allowed them to achieve the American dream, seeing all four of their children obtain post-graduate degrees. Not bad coming from a former shoeshine boy and a seamstress.
To add a more personal touch to the book, prior to every story Campos-Duffy includes several paragraphs detailing her firsthand connections with each Fox personality. It provides a nice prelude to the ensuing story. Furthermore, her book includes intimate photos provided by the Fox family that embrace the goodness and shared lifetime memories they've experienced growing up in America.
Story after story, Fox News and Fox Business personalities share personal reflections and insight on what true patriotism means to them. While collectively they are known to millions of viewers, the narratives they impart no doubt mirror the back stories to countless everyday people.
With the United States celebrating a monumental birthday in 2026, patriotism has become paramount. Rachel Campos-Duffy's book, 'All American Patriotism: Celebrating 250 Years of America's Greatness' embodies that spirit. If you're a flag waving red, white, and blue supporter, a historian, or just welcome reading heartfelt stories, than Rachel's book is designed for you.
