Following up on his debut fictional novel 'The Color of Death', FOX News host Trey Gowdy returns to Spartanburg County South Carolina, offering up 'The Sound of Regret, revisiting several of the same characters he introduced readers to in his first outing. 

When a former prominent high school athlete turned confidential informant turns up dead, with a note attached baiting Assistant DA Colm Truesdale, the prosecutor becomes obsessed with finding out the motive. After another soon turns up dead, and a prior un-solved murder has connections to Truesdale, Colm begins to wonder if a lunatic from his past has a vendetta against him, implementing him to the crimes.
