She's young, talented, and possesses self confidence, which is essential in the entertainment industry. However, until she placed well on Season 27 of The Voice in 2025, 22 year old Grace Miller Moody hadn't considered pursuing music as a career. gracemoody8

"From the time I was very young I can always remember singing around the house, but I never imagined doing it full time." A Florence SC native, Moody was attending the College of Charleston when she decided to appear on NBC's highly rated competitive singing reality television series.

She credits her family for taking the leap of faith. "They've always been very supportive. My dad said I have a God given gift, why not share it." During the competition Moody received a rare 4-chair turn after performing Maroon 5's 'Sunday Morning', choosing to join Team Adam (Adam Levine). "It felt right."

Moody's nearly two month run ended in the knockout rounds after she offered up a compelling rendition of Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams'. Although her journey on The Voice came to a close, a professed Christian, Moody holds true to Jeremiah 29:11, 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'.

The popular Bible verse reflects God's faithfulness and purpose in our lives, directing followers paths if they put their trust in him. "I feel certain God has given me a vision to pursue, to use my voice and my music for all the right reasons."

While the TV show helped propel Moody's career, she's remained busy over the past 18 months, performing at the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach and opening for Nashville veteran Lee Brice at the in 2026 at Credit One Stadium. Oddly enough, Moody doesn't gravitate towards that particular genre.

"I'm definitely not country. I think I have a southern feel, but my music leans more towards jazzy, pop, and retro." She adds, "I love to decipher songs, whether they are pop, rock, classical, or jazz." Not surprisingly with that range, her influences are diverse. "No doubt. Everything from Stevie Nicks and Amy Winehouse to James Brown."

Like many in the younger generation including up and coming artists, Moody relies on online avenues to get her music out. Her up-tempo single 'Outta Your League' has garnered over 2 million streams on Spotify, with 'Lean' closing in on 100K. She currently averages over 117K regular monthly listeners on the popular streaming service. gracemoodyleague

Moody's approach to songwriting varies. "It definitely comes in different ways. At times it's just God speaking to me." She does admit to being regimented about writing, and finds Nashville a productive atmosphere. "There you're surrounded by it." Adding jokingly, "My producer likes to say, 'songwriting is like throwing paint on a canvas to see what sticks."

When not travelling back and forth to Nashville and managing her social media accounts, Moody who resides in Charleston stays busy performing in the holy city, including gigs at Henry’s on Market St. and The Peacock lounge. Both venues seemingly that fit her entertaining style.

If locals want to witness Moody's talent in a larger venue, she'll be one of the opening acts for country music singer Chris Janson at the upcoming Palmetto Freedom Fest on Oct 30th. The annual charitable concert and fundraiser held on the Grand Lawn at Credit One Stadium benefits the Palmetto State Chapter of Folds of Honor, an organization raising educational scholarship funds for families of fallen or disabled military and first responders.

Since its founding in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded nearly 73,000 scholarships totaling more than $340 million nationwide. The nonprofit supports students at multiple stages of their education, from K-12 private school tuition and tutoring to college, trade school and graduate programs. The 2026 concert is titled 'Good Vibes for a Great Cause'.

Moody is humbled by the opportunity to perform. "It's such a great cause. Hearing so many peoples stories that have benefitted from their mission is heartwarming. I'm glad to be taking part, and too help raise awareness and funds for the organization."

Although Moody continually sang as a kid and didn't realize her God given potential until the past couple of years, she's driven by the words on the homepage of her website. Grace Miller Moody creates music rooted in honesty, confidence, and presence.

She breaks them all down. "Regarding honesty, I write about things that are truthful. Often things I've experienced. A lot of what I write about deals with wanting women to have confidence. Not about a look, but about how they carry themselves. Hopefully I exemplify that when I'm on stage, that I'm deeply rooted in my faith."

Her self assurance transcends the stage. "A show might be temporary, but what gives me the most confidence is when fans come up to me after and say, 'your performance or that song meant so much to me. Moments like that fuel my path forward." gracemoodyburrg

Regular followers of Moody on virtual platforms might recognize she uses the title 'Queen of Burgundy' as her main artistic alias and social media persona, tying into the distinct visual aesthetic and emotional themes of her music.

While Moody remains happy with the way her singing career continues to build, opening for noted artists and playing clubs around Charleston, perhaps the biblical phrase 'faith without works is dead' (James 2:17) best describes her journey. "I believe in having goals. I'm reaching for the top. God has given me the vision."
