Sparkling Charleston | Top 5 Hidden Gems That Will Give You That Christmas Glow

#1 – Private Tour with a Charleston Native and hear all the Charleston Christmas Stories

http://touringcharlestonsc.com/

If you’re looking to book a walking tour of Charleston, SC, contact licensed and certified tour guide and artist, Amelia ("Mimi") Whaley, whose family arrived in Charles Town in the 1690's and later settled on Edisto Island as planters.

Walking tours are offered at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and last approximately 2 hours. Reservations are required. Private walking tours are available by appointment; these can be tailored to various interests such as, "The Charleston Renaissance", "Exploring the Walled City of Charleston" and "The Historic Churches and Graveyards of the Walled City".

"Although Charleston has weathered Indians, pirates, 5 great fires between 1740 and 1861, various wars, hurricanes and a devastating earthquake, a wealth of architecture remains. Charleston truly is a 'living city'. While we have several excellent museum houses, most of the historic houses you’ll see on our tour are homes. Charleston was, is and continues to be known for its gracious hospitality."

Circular Congregational Church of Charleston – 150 Meeting St.

Tickets: https://achristmascaroltlt.eventbrite.com

Dickens edited his little Christmas ghost story and traveled Europe and America filling theaters with his one man reading of the tale. Traveling Literary Theater brings you the same Dickens’ edited version read by three professional actors who have been touring with this reading since 2005. Authentically Dickensian: includes Victorian attire, Dickens’ own words, and James Dyne, British Stage Actor as the lead character. On Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 3pm and 7pm. This 70 minute reading will be presented in the sanctuary of the Circular Congregational Church.
