In conjunction with America's upcoming 250th celebration, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy is set to release a new book titled 'All American Patriotism'. Comprised of stories from her fellow Fox News family members, the book available later this month offers up 30 accounts of what America means to them personally. duffybook 1

It's a passion project Rachel's been working on for some time. "Ever since last year, all the talk around here has been about the upcoming anniversary. So we just thought it would be a great idea to further promote patriotism. Of course Sean and I did 'All American Christmas' a few years back, and it was well-received. This time around I did it on my own, because he's busy with another job now." Her husband is currently the Secretary of Transportation in the Trump administration.

While offering different subject matter, 'All American Patriotism' echoes a similar feeling as did the first. "The new book follows the same model, the same sentiment." Rachel breaks it down further, adding followers of the network sort of expect something like this from Fox. "Over at CNN they have viewers. At Fox we have devoted fans. We thought it would be nice for Fox family to tell their stories on why they love America. Share stories about their heroes, and what it's been like growing up in this great country of ours."

Rachel particularly wanted to make certain the book represented a wide range of outlooks. "I picked a really great collection of friends at Fox." Having a cross section of the country was important to her. "I wanted to be sure we captured the regionality of America, especially when it comes to culture and pride. It was important to reflect the west, the mid-west, northeast, and southeast."

She adds, "Lawrence (Jones) and Will (Cain) are from Texas and they walk and talk that state. Ainsley (Earhardt) loves South Carolina, and Jesse (Watters) grew up in Philadelphia and travelled to New England as a kid. Shannon Bream has a heart-warming story. And there's several stories with members and family members serving in the military. Each story is special in its own way."

Given the Fox family come from various parts of the country, differ in age, and were raised differently, 'All American Patriotism' offers an assortment of stories. "There's a good diversity of views in the book. The bottom line is I wanted the book to have a 'flavor of America'."

Campos-Duffy's own addition to the book is inspirational. "My grandfather (on her father's side) came to America from Mexico and my mother actually immigrated here from Spain. Both gained a deep appreciation for this country, and they instilled that in me and my siblings early on."

Although not featured in the book, Rachel likes to refer to her friend Manny's definition of patriotism. "He tells people he's been blessed. He's proud to say he was born in Nicaragua, but he was made in America. I believe people under 30 and even some under 40 need to catch that bug."

Rachel is hopeful the trend will begin at home. "I would love for families go out and experience the country. Take a family road trip and really see what America has to offer. Maybe parents and grandparents can tell their kids or grandkids their own stories of growing up in America. That spirit needs to return, and we need young people to embrace it."

She would welcome it in the classroom as well. "I would love if teachers could buck the system and start teaching patriotism. Talk about our nation's history, our founding fathers and what they persevered to help make America what it it today. We need to bring that spirit and that kind of conversation back to our schools."

Current statistics paint a bleak picture. "There have been studies and polls showing a collapse of patriotism for people under the age of 30. We have a national identity crisis happening in America. Whether they're being taught or indoctrinated, several have gravitated to a Marxist culture, whereby they are ashamed of this country.

Rachel hopes 'All American Patriotism' will in some small way help reverse the direction. "With all that taking place this year with the 250th anniversary, and hopefully my book we have an opportunity to recalibrate. We need to get people of all ages excited about what true patriotism means."

Beyond her book, Rachel gets excited just talking about patriotism. "Why is America so great? Why do people want citizenship here? America offers people the 'golden ticket'. We are a foundational country that provides freedom, and celebrates God our creator. We need to embrace that, not just this year alone."

For fans of Fox News, particularly Rachel Campos-Duffy or for people who want a shot of patriotism 'All American Patriotism' is set for release on May 19th.
