“Mullet Haul n’ Hustle” Brings Fresh Challenge to Johns Island County Park This Fall
Lace up your trail shoes and gather your crew. Charleston County Parks is introducing an exciting new running event this fall that’s all about teamwork, adventure, and Lowcountry fun. The Mullet Haul n’ Hustle Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 5K and Kids Dash will make its debut on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Johns Island County Park.
The new race offers something for every type of runner, from first timers to seasoned trail racers. Participants can choose from a variety of race distances, including a 5K, Half Marathon, Kids Dash, and the event’s signature challenge-the Mullet Haul n’ Hustle Marathon Relay. Designed to make the marathon distance approachable and exciting, the relay divides the full 26.2 miles into manageable legs for teams of four, and is perfect for running clubs, coworkers, families, or anyone who loves a good group challenge. Participants can expect a lively start line with upbeat music and a finish-line celebration worthy of the effort put in.
