Registration is OPEN! Let's Walk to Fight Hunger
The Walk to Fight Hunger is back! Registration is open! Make a Difference In the Community
LCFB Press Release
Grab your friends, family (4-legged family members too!), and colleagues and get ready to make every step count on Saturday, September 26.
The Walk to Fight Hunger, presented by Parker's Kitchen, is a fun, family-friendly event for our community to come together to raise awareness of food insecurity across coastal South Carolina and critical funds to support LCFB's mission. Register at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/2026walktofighthunger/?bblinkid=290208952&bbemailid=63024497&bbejrid=-869126984
Why walk?
Because every step helps provide nourishing meals for families, children, and seniors in our community who experience food insecurity. Feeding America's recent Map the Meal Gap study shows that food insecurity has increased across our service area. 1 in 5 children across coastal South Carolina live in a household facing food insecurity which is up from the previously reported 1 in 6.
When you join us, you help Lowcountry Food Bank meet the needs of our neighbors who need it most.
Ready to join us? Here are the event details:
- Where: Tupelo Shelter at Wannamaker Park; 8888 University Blvd, North Charleston, SC 29406
- When: Saturday, September 26, 2026
- Time: 10:30 AM–1:30 PM (Shelbey Roberts of Live 5 News will kick off the walk at 12:00 PM!)
