Registration open for Holiday Festival of Lights Fun Run and Walk on Nov. 11 & 12

Get a running start on the holiday season! Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to James Island County Park for a sneak peek of the Holiday Festival of Lights at this year’s Fun Run and Walk on Wednesday, Nov. 11 and Thursday, Nov. 12. Registration is now open and both nights are expected to sell out, so interested participants should sign up today!

Be among the first to experience the enchantment of hundreds of stunning light displays during this two-mile, non-competitive run and walk. Runners and walkers will get up close views of the light displays before the Holiday Festival of Lights opens to the general public on Nov. 13.

Admission to the event will be $38 per standard sized vehicle of up to 15 people. Each vehicle must have a ticket for entry. Charleston County Parks recommends arriving at the park by 6 p.m. Park gates will close to traffic at 6:30 p.m., with the event beginning shortly thereafter. Roads will reopen to traffic when all pedestrians have cleared the road.

Registration is required for the Fun Run and Walk, and this event is expected to sell out. Gold Passes are not valid for this event. Registration is available at CharlestonCountyParks.com (direct link).

The Fun Run and Walk is a wheelchair and stroller-friendly course. Socialized dogs on short, non-retractable leashes are welcome. Retractable leashes, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates/rollerblades and scooters are not permitted. A chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. This is a rain or shine event.
