There certainly is no shortage of incredible dining options in Savannah, our sister city just two hours south. If you crave bold flavors, vibrant energy, and unforgettable food, Zunzibar is really a must go. Located in the heart of downtown, with an additional location on Tybee Island, Zunzibar combines laid-back vibes with seriously satisfying eats. Making it a hot spot for locals, tourists and anyone who enjoys good food and a great time.

Zunzibar has built a strong following not only in Savannah but across multiple locations, even venturing into an incredibly entertaining podcast called the “SH*T YEAH! Show.” Which happens to be their motto and at the end of the meal both my girlfriend and I were saying SH*T YEAH! as well. It was that good all around. Each location maintains the same high-energy vibe, friendly service, and mouthwatering menu that fans have come to love. Whether you're in Savannah or running down to the beach at Tybee, Zunzibar delivers the same signature flavors and “beachy” atmosphere that has made it a standout in the dining scene.

The moment you step inside (or outside on their amazing patio), you’re greeted with an energetic, friendly and welcoming vibe. It’s a great spot for a casual lunch, a meet up with friends for cocktails, or just an outing to indulge in their signature sauces and mouthwatering menu. Zunzibar never disappoints and we had an amazing lunch, below is what we tried!

What We Ate

On our visit, we dove into a spread of their flavorful favorites and had a few incredible suggestions. We started with Oliver's Lunch Bowl, a hearty mix of grilled salmon, fresh veggies, and rice that delivered satisfying bites every time. I drizzled the signature Zunzi’s sauce and mixed it with the rice. Delicious! Next came the crispy Lemon Pepper Wings, packed with zesty seasoning that kept us reaching for more. To wash it all down, the refreshing Coco-Mo Cocktails brought a tropical twist that paired perfectly with the bold flavors on our plates. We couldn’t resist sampling some of Zunzi’s famous sandwiches too — each one layered with delicious meats and cheeses, fresh toppings, and their signature sauces for an unforgettable meal. 

• Oliver's Lunch Bowl – Your choice of mashed potatoes or rice + one fill + two sides (side of French bread, greens salad, or grilled veggies)
• Lemon Pepper Wings – Peri-Peri marinated all natural chicken wings. This is one of their brand new flavors and I am so glad we ordered this! Each bite bursts with tangy lemon pepper seasoning that pairs beautifully with Zunzi Bar's signature sauces. Crispy and delicious.
• Coco-Mo Cocktails – Tropical vibes in a glass! This refreshing cocktail combines smooth coconut flavors with a hint of citrus, creating a drink that's as relaxing as a Savannah sunset.
• Signature Sandwiches – Zunzibar's sandwiches are a standout, known for their generous portions and bold flavors. Whether you opt for the spicy "Godfather" or the savory "Conquistador," each sandwich is loaded with meat, vibrant toppings, and the famous SH*T YEAH! sauce that takes every bite to the next level. 

Zunzibar's Signature Sauces

One of the biggest reasons Zunzibar's dishes shine is their incredible selection of signature sauces. From rich and savory to tangy and spicy, there's a sauce for every palate. Favorites include the bold SH*T YEAH! Sauce, perfect for adding a punch of flavor to wings or sandwiches. The creamy Drizzle balances the spice, while the rich Mustafa Curry adds a savory depth to any dish. For those who crave heat, the tangy Buffalo Peri-Peri and the fiery Hot as Sh*t sauces will certainly satisfy. Don’t forget about Dank! Sauce, packed with flavor, or Ms. Ball's Chutney, offering a sweet and spicy kick. Don’t be shy and order a sauce flight like we did! You can also purchase a bottle of your favorite sauce to take home. We bought a bottle of the “Drizzle” and love putting it on steak, rice bowls and even salads!
